Artist’s Statement

My work evolves out of the process of making and develops its own logic. There are few absolutes.

This approach is grounded in the natural world and expressed through my sense of organic form and surface treatments that parallel the sculpting forces of nature.

Whether referencing the physical terrain of landscape or objects from the coastal environment, the works ultimately explore the material terrain of wood.
