ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My work is inspired by the objects people make, collect and organize, and the role this making and collecting takes in learning, knowledge and meaning.  The sculptural work that develops from this exploration becomes a personal reflection on the nature of humanity.  Formally, I have a preoccupation with surface, a great regard for visual movement, and a commitment to space as a palpable material in sculpture making.
