ARTIST'S STATEMENT
My current work has continued to weave natural materials but to achieve a quieter, calmer environment and feeling.  I have looked inward to find the emotions and thoughts that inspire me.  The woven natural date palm allows for the interpretation of nature inspired forms.  Texture and color are added to stretch and go beyond simple surfaces.  Life continues to challenge and shape the disciplines of my work. The sanctuary and refuge of my studio give permission to create and persist.
