ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bonnie Klein is a full time woodturner from the Northwest who specializes in boxes with threaded lids. She is a modern day pioneer, teaching the techniques of making threads in wood. She also designed, produces and markets a small woodturning lathe which is sold throughout the United States and abroad. Her time is divided between traveling to conduct workshops and to demonstrate woodturning, producing and selling her lathe, and her turnings. Klein has participated in symposiums and conducted workshops in many different countries, including New Zealand, Australia, England, Ireland, France and Canada. Working with young people is something she feels strongly about. She enjoys sharing the excitement and fun of turning with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and school shop classes. Klein served on the executive board of the American Association of Woodturners for 6 years as vice-president.
