STATEMENT
Over the last twenty years, my focus seems to have lingered on making pieces that are interesting to touch and have the appearance of looking rather old and well worn. Some have abstract markings and appear to be of some ancient or Indian inspiration, although I have not studied these cultures' art.
Although I use carving techniques, and occasionally burn/scorch the markings with open flame, many of these "accents" are made without too much predetermination because I do not want the piece to look contrived.
