ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kevin Burrus is a young artist based in Portland, Oregon. He is a recent graduate of the Oregon College of Art and Craft and is already making an impression on the art community. Burrus' creative process is motivated by the pursuit and exploration of form, material and environment. With that in mind, most of his materials are post consumer paper and salvaged wood. An important aspect of his work is the conceptual nature and content of the material and the relationship it has to the final form. As he thinks visually, even the use of magazines in the work is a way of encapsulating literature into a visual idea.
